Very nice reaction and comments Ashmita. Arooj Aftab grew up in Pakistan till her late teens and then came to the US for college. Kind of like me. But she came on a scholarship. Particularly Steve Vai (guitarist) scholarship awarded to her first for online and then in person at Berklee College of Music. She stayed in the US afterwards and now lives in NYC. She sings many sufi poems and has literally popularized "neo sufi" genre here.
