Hello friends, in this video I will tell you how a big problem occurred in our motorcycle due to the mistake of Royal Enfield Service Center, due to which we had to open the fuel tank of the motorcycle. I bought a Classic 350 in June 2017. All was going well until the first service. After getting it serviced for the first time at 500 km at Monga Motors, Karnal (Haryana) Royal Enfield showroom, the missing problem started. I immediately took it back to the service station and they performed all kinds of experiments on it and I was told that missing problem exists due to this new feature of BSIV where I can fill only 80% of the total tank and have to stop and open the cap of the gas tank every time the bike starts to miss. How is this new technology, only God knows. Anyway, I followed as instructed by them and the problem still existed and it worsened to the point where my bike would suddenly stop working and leave me stranded on the highway. For 1 year, my bike was a regular guest at their service station. I refrained from going on any long rides because of this constant breaking down. For 1 year they would give me one excuse or the other, they even had the audacity to tell me that the problem existed because I installed a free flow upswept exhaust (?). I changed it to stock and the problem still existed. Countless scratches have appeared on my motorcycle because of their workers fiddling with my bike, trying to find a solution. Exhausted and perplexed, their foreman finally said that this is normal and I'll have to live with it. I was furious, I wrote countless mails to Royal Enfield and finally a gentleman from RE Delhi came to inspect my bike. It turned out that the setting of the carburetor had been altered at the first service by one of their incompetent workers (all were incompetent to be honest). Imagine living like this for one full year only to find out that the problem could've been solved in 5 minutes. My final take from this horrible experience is that RE needs to spend more money on their incompetent after sales service and training their employees rather than their ad campaigns. I hope nobody faces what I had to face.

Hi, in my classic 350 bs4 air creating in side tank if bike is rest for few hours especially high in cold climate starting no issue but missing while riding.. so by your suggestion i need to pull the cable or open tank frequently while riding..how to solve this permanently?

There are valves under the seat of Royal Enfield Classic, they get closed due to which air is not available, you change them, the problem will be fixed.

Mujhe bhi 2 din pehle yahi same problem aayi mere relative ki classic 350 BS4 mei....oil bahar nikal rha tha to service center walo ne tank change karne k liye kaha jiski kimat 13700 hai....aap sab log jisko ye problem aati hai please na to tank change karwaye ,na tank ki locking cap ka rubber change karwaye,or na hi ye video mei Jo pipe hai usko nikale....aap bs itna kijiye ki apki bike mei BS3 model k bike ka lock lagwa lena jiska price 450 hai service center mei...or jo tank k niche pipe ka outlet hai usko Mseal ya screw se lock karwa Dena...sabse best solution yahi hai...BS3 bike ka tank ka lock cap same hai or usme inbuilt hole hai jisme se hawa pass hoti rahegi or missing and bike rukne ki problem nhi aayegi....Enjoy your ride😊

My honda shine sp BS4 bike was like this, the bike was having starting problems! And it was missing due to the lack of oil. Then I went to the local garage, there asked to open the oil cap sometimes! It seems unreasonable to me! Then I went to my nearest Honda dealer, for genuine work, there they couldn't understand the problem, removed the carburettor, finally understood and made a hole in the pipe coming from the tank, right in front of my eyes. I fussed at that moment, finally the manager came and clarified that all bikes do this! I said, since the canister is bad, change it, they say it will not be a problem!

My bike is classic 350 2014 model ,missing in my bike due to fuel vapour. when I open the tank before starting vapour pops out with a sound, then missing will not be there. Vapour creating in tank even if I fill 1 or 2 litre of fuel. How to fix this?

मेरे बाईक में ऐसी ही problem हुई थी। यु ट्युब के विडियोज देखके सारे तरीके अपनाए,कुछ भी ना हुआ। फिर ढक्कन खुला रखके बाईक चला के सर्विस स्टेशन ले गया। उन्होंने एअर फिल्टर चेंज किया और problem ठिक हो गयी। २५०/३०० का खर्चा हुआ।

@@rohitchandaliya5937 बाईक सीट के लेव्हल तक पानी में डुबी थी। स्टार्ट हो कर थोडी देर में बंद हो रही थी। टॅंक का ढक्कन खुला छोड दो तो ही चल रही थी। लोकल मेकॅनिक ने भी यही बताया के फिल्टर चेंज करने पडेंगे फिर भी नही हुआ तो और भी देखना पडेगा। मेरी बाईक नयी थी तो मैंने सोचा इसके पास देने से अच्छा सर्विस स्टेशन ही ले जाऊ। ढक्कन खुला छोड़कर ले गया। उनको प्राॉब्लेम बता दिया। उन्होंने बाईक लौटाई तो सिर्फ एअर फिल्टर गिला हो जाने की वजह बताई और उसे चेंज कर दिया था। Problem solve हो गयी थी। मैं मुंबई रहता हूं।

Charcoal cannister is collecting the fuel vapour and air from the tank and again sents it back to the carburetor. It is just added for environmental purpose only i.e. to conserve extra fuel by conserving the fuel vapour and prevents the fuel vapour from releasing in the environment thus reducing emission. BS3 models doesn't have this system. In BS3 there is a whole in the tank near the fuel cap. It was introduced from BS4. So by removing the cannister pipe BS4 is just basically converted to BS3. There is no effect on the engine or anything else.

RE ke service center me jaakr genuine pary replace krva lo kaafi lmbe samay tk dikk nhi aayegi... baki ye parts kharab hone pr hi dikkt aati h like petrol tank me gas banna missing krna gas ke karan etc.

Pagal service center. App ek kaam karo... Mere bullet pe v same problm aa raha tha.. Tripura re service center ne... Seat k neeche se ek air pipe jaati hai... Usko free krne se prblm solve ho jati hai... Bs4 me yeh pipe chipka hua rehta hai seat k neeche.. Uska delivery ghuma ke de do, ho jayega

You did not explain what is the purpose of charcoal cannister. Simply removing a pipe magically solves a problem? The company spent lot of money to put a part in the bike. Without understanding or explaining it seems dangerous to follow some advice
