So much going on here! The artistry and direction here is genius and I really love the collaboration with Jennifer and mehro. The visuals, the aesthetic is just beautifully dreamy too and I love the juxtaposition of the golden hour peace, versus the inner experience of turmoil, drowning and acid rain. Being surrounded by just sheer external natural beauty and yet inwardly stewing, brewing and in total pain is an experience familiar to so many including myself and yet, in the context of the whole album and the story we've seen so far; this feels like a step up the healing ladder, the beginnings of releasing resistance, letting go and (as so beautifully said in the lyrics) beginning to learn how to not take things so seriously. It's an honor to see your journey unfold mehro, you inspire me and so many others to continue laughing and crying through the breaking, openings and integrating of life's threshold experiences as we bring all the shattered and broken pieces of ourselves back together. mehro, there was a time in my life when I almost drowned while I was swimming in a river years ago... fyi, I'm a good swimmer. But at that time I didn't know that the river flow below was so strong that it made me drawn into it. This song reminds me of that day. I've been told before that when the waves try to drown your body, don't force yourself to swim. but try to stay calm, and focus on your thoughts. focus on your thoughts and pretend your body is as light as a feather so it can float, and let the current carry you until you reach a part of the water where you can stand. and I did it that day. I kept thinking that my body was as light as a feather as I floated in the water, letting the river take me where it went, until my hand touched the sand and I realized I was safe now. Of course I was scared at that time. I thought I would die that day. I cried silently amidst the sound of the water, while looking up at the blue sky and white clouds above me, as my body floated along with the flow of the river. but the blue sky above me makes me feel calm, so calm. The blue sky that day was so beautiful, warm and beautiful, and gentle. I can still remember it until now. You know I really like blue skies, right? it really has a magic in it that makes me so empty and full at the same time every time I look at it. I think "laughing" is that blue sky. thank you for this song, mehro. I have loved it for the past two years, and will continue to love it for many years to come. Later, sing this live for me when we meet, okay? I love you.

I was genuinely thinking Saturday it would drop. Thank you for always devoting your heart and time to give us so much to enjoy. From the start, I was pulled into the momentum of the passage of time, loved the walking forward, the twists, and turns in the pathways, especially having the view of the roses (I get the feel of the flux and flow of healing/grieving) there's beauty about that experience. At :40 I feel the sense of how wide and overgrown the mind can be and get, but then there's a break of rest & nourishment with the tea cups around. 2:05 the challenge of moving forward. "Time takes away the pain like drowning" the ending the resting down into the earth (grounding us into accepting what we are facing). I didn't expect the ending it made me cry 🥹 (in a good way). Made me think of my grandpa who's no longer with me in the sweetest way. I love how art is so open to interpretation and how it pulls different perspectives from each of us. This was beautiful Mehro. It's beautiful how deep the heart can love and continue to love once those who leave are gone (whether by death/or just exiting our lives).
