Yeah, but when Orisa was the best tank that's when Mei was the worst she's been. Because Orisa can fortify out of freeze and can fortify and javelin spear her way through ice wall if she gets walled off and is desperate. Plus her consistent shooting would force out Mei's abilities sooner than she would like to use them. But yeah Mei has been slept on most of OW2, no doubt.

Ive been telling people this since season 2 started, but oh no, people are worried that you will be singled out...but that's a good thing, taking attention off the rest of the team. Turn that 5v5 into a 4v3 or even 4v2. Definitely a good trade. Especially if you dont mind being a punching bag to take all the ults, no ults for the rest of the enemy team.

Mei has been underrated since OW2 released, her beam is pretty strong now. I even prefer it over the OW1 Mei cause it's a nice dive counter like this for Genji and such. Everyone kept saying she's bad but you can have so much fun with her. Walls are also so strong in 5v5 cause you can just wall off supports or tanks from their team and just outnumber them in a fight. At lower ranks people never shoot the walls either.

Ever since Ball started getting picked more often, I've been thinking "Doesn't having so many Mobility-focused characters being Hard Meta mean someone who can impact their mobility would be an OP sleeper pick against them? Why do I see so many people claim Mei is a "B-tier character" when she literally answers or ignores almost every supposed "S-tier" character". As it turns out, Yes, picking the character who is all about slowing mobility, Mei, in a meta full of high mobility characters, do be a shockingly effective sleeper pick against them.

There's nothing secret about it, flats. In the lower elos where I am, she absolutely dominates if the person playing her has more than an hour. To top it off, she can counter so many heroes and abilities AND slow the entire team down AND basically has a one-shot. She bullies people with her slow and it just sucks to play against especially as genji when she just walks at you and theres nothing you can do about it. Did I forget to mention she can summon a glacier?

Flats no. I am a top 500 Mei main since since season 2 of OW 1 and she is fine and balanced now. Don't go saying she is OP when she is not. She will just get nerfed cause people will suddenly think this. I think eventually she will be re-worked because the wall is a frustrating ability to play against. It is like Sombra where frustrating mechanics get re-worked. For now though until then, she is balanced enough.

@Delinquent I also main mei but I play every character minus 2..I walled people off since 2016..I also been wall off since 2016😄..So I know all the different scenarios..That I survive or died..One it depends on the tank and who mei is team with..Also who is on the opposing team..Example rein love walling him off..If it's mei,dva,genji or ashe. With a full shield you not killing him in time..But if he is far away from his team you can kill him in time..If his team is close..As a kiriko i can simply climb the wall and heal him from above..If mercy is with me she can fly to me and heal him from above the wall...Thing is you can help if your team is close enough..Some scenarios is a loss cause like low health shield..Or bastion with mei walling off rein..But some tanks cant not be walled off.Dva,Winston,Zarya with bubbles,Ball..Ramatra can survive long enough depending on who he going against..Main thing there is counter play to wall if team is close enough in certain scenarios..If you are away from your team just trying to go one on five then the team can't help at all..I gave a example but I didn't even put other ways of helping a tank like actually breaking the wall..That 99 percent of people don't even try to do.I am more annoyed when I am destroying with mei..And the opposing team picks mei and the other mei wants to come at me with there support friend chasing me around meanwhile I am solo queue and my support ain't helping me..I go kill mercy and mei..Here comes there other support helping there mei..Then at the end he puts mei difference😂That shit is the real problem..I don't care about walling off or being walled off..I rarely actually die that way.
