This lens is really good. I was torn between it, Viltrox 56mm/f1.7, and TTArtisan 56mm/f1.8, but I ended up choosing TTArtisan for the price. Been happy with the quality. I’ve got to say, these 3rd party lenses offer a lot of bang for the buck.

Does it have problems with the IBIS? I had some third party AF lenses that would cause the IBIS to not properly work (jitters a lot).

I had no problem with IBIS while reviewing this lens. What lenses did not work?

@@AndreiDimaReviews I had the viltrox 23mm f1.4 that didn't really work that well with the IBIS and it's more evident in video, not until they patched it later on with a firmware update. Though it did take some time for it to be fixed.

This or ttartisan 35mm 1.8 AF? My goal is taking some pictures of some basketball games and also mainly street photography, is 35 better or worse than 55mm on a cropped sensor, what do you think ?😊

You'll probably enjoy the meike 55 as you will probably be further away from the players than you think. Sports and event photography are usually done with longer telephoto lenses.

They are both good lenses but I would go with the Meike because it has an aperture ring and it is brighter.

today i got my third purchase of Meike 55mm f1.4 fuji lens. Definitely meike has issue with aperture ring. This time when twisting aperture ring, I got double f2.8, and a missing f11. f1.4 / f1.6 / f1.8 / f2.0 / f2.2 / f2.5 / f2.8 / F2.8 (again) f3.2 / f3.6 / f4.0 / f4.5 / f5.0 / f5.6 / f6.4 / f7.1 / f8.0 / f9.0 / f10 / F11 (missing) f13 / f14 / f16 Start from the second F2.8, the ring is not alight anymore with aperture data in screen.

@@AndreiDimaReviews XT3, test it on friend XH2 still the same. Both on latest firmware. The second purchase I return is more better, only missing f11, this time problem with 2 aperture. Tired of returning the lens. Meike wont fix it

Sadly only reviewer get the good lens. I buy twice and both get the same problem, some aperture is missing on the aperture ring. Meike said it was a single case. LOL how come single case on two lens?
