BTW inspired by Don's video on mixing teas I recently tried brewing a mix of Changtai Hao 2005 with a Shimmer Bliss Roadie 2019. I could still recognize the taste of each tea in the mix, but I could also imagine it as a ~10 y.o. puer. It was a pleasant experience but I can't say mixing is better than just drinking these teas on their own.

Based on how you describe it it sounds to me like one that I would really love to brew HARD. Either over ratio the amount of leaf or brew really long steeps. Though I am also loving Bulang strength in my brews. I am waiting for the day Mei Leaf has a Lao Man'E tea coming out ;P

I’d christen this one “Ballerina Grandma" , because it is obviously aged, but also retains freshness and colourful pizzazz (the leaves), like a retired ballerina. And it seems as if even if one were not quite able to appreciate it’s somewhat outdated attitudes and fads, it would still be charming and entertaining enough to draw any visitor in again and again.
