I have the Meilong 8x8 and I really like it. Just takes breaking in and tightening the tensions over time. Tighten the tensions to the point you think it's too tight to solve, then solve it a few times and it will loosen up, repeat.

I have a personal adjacent checkered pattern I like doing. Basically you swap blue and white, and swap green and yellow to create an adjacent edge checkered pattern. You can do it on a 5x5, but on 7x7, you can only swap 3 adjacent colors into a checkered pattern. 9x9, you can swap only 2 adjacent colors. The reason you can't on a 7x7 is be cause you would get an 3x3 edge parody.

Calling the bigger cube 'Little Magic" seems like an oxymoron. The Little Magic is 90mm, whereas the MFJS Meilong is only 74mm, which is actually smaller than the ShengShou Tank 8x8. I bought the Little Magic and returned it in exchange for the Meilong 9x9. I find that the Meilong is better simply because the smaller size is much easier on hand fatigue. If you have smaller hands, go with the Meilong 9x9. For a budget cube, it's actually not that bad. And with some added lube and breaking in, the Meilong is quite nice. Not a speed cube, but a nice cube!

No 9x9 on the face of the planet is a speedcube because it is just too big but as a big cube enthusiast, I think it doesn't matter if it is a speedcube or not because I always aim for new PBs with my 15x15. It is broken right now because I dropped it, but I am fixing it and hopefully better times after fixing it.

Magnetise a Meilong 4x4, Little Magic 4x4 M is fine, but I heard it is a bit more flimsy or something. Don't get the Thunderclap, if you want to spend more, only probably the Wuque, though it's not that good TBH. Best 4x4s are the Aosu GTS2M and Aosu WRM. The Valk 4 M isn't that good, too locky and not good for its price

My opinion: Go for the bigger cube if u r on a budget and planning on getting a bigger cube at the same time. You'd basically know how to solve pretty much all the big cubes once you've managed to solve the 3x3 and the 4x4.

I went with the Meilong and I'm impressed. I do too like the size better. Imo, the 9x9x9 is not for speed cubing but for time consuming entertainment. I don't know how to solve the 9x9 yet but I'm working on it. Im glad we both agree on this.

Hi I'm going to buy a cube 11x11. Yuxin Little Magic 11x11 vs Yuxin Huanglong 11x11 vs Meilong 11x11, anyone can share some ideas about them? I know Meilong is smaller. I prefer being small but also I do prefer being very smooth. I have a MoYu GTS3M 3x3 cube and am highly satisfied. But my other random 4x4 and 5x5 cubes are not smooth at all and very disappointing.
