I own the Martinete, the Seguiriya, and the Cantiña cajons. They all sound great but I put them to the test about a month ago at a flamenco party, where I played from mid afternoon until about midnight. The cajon with the best tone without degradation was the Martinete. I noticed that the Seguiriya sounded great initially, but as the crowds got louder, I had to hit harder to overcome the din of the crowd. The Martinete required less effort to get a nice clear tone, and my hands did not feel the fatigue as I would paying the Seguiriya. I didn’t bring the Cantiña but I knew that that one had great bass response but the top end was better on both the other two cajons. I used to play a $30 cheapo cajon that I put strings under the face plate. You’ll find a clip of me playing it with a cajon pedal I created using a tennis ball beater elsewhere on KZbin a while back, when forward facing cajon pedals did not really exist in the market. I may have been the first one. Anyways, this guy plays like I do-the tones he gets from each cajon is fantastic. IMHO the Martinete cajon is the BEST long gig cajon of the bunch, with a consistent tone that cuts through without being overbearing.

@@elephantgrass631 Absolutely necessary for a stage gig. But for a backyard flamenco juerga, nothing is plugged in and there's no PA. It's pure raw flamenco. The Martinete shines for that. It's designed with a faceplate that hits a hardwood frame, so its attack is strong especially if the corners are slightly lifted with a small space in between the face plate and the frame. Just a tiny crack that's just right--and the cajon sings and sings consistently for hours making it extremely reliable. The Seguiriya sounds great too but needed some adjustments after about an hour of playing. And the Martinete is a really comfortable cajon--easy on the hands. It's not easy on the tush though, so I bought a slip-free cushion for it.
