So much could’ve happened prior to them arriving and setting up, ya know what I mean? It’s just part of being in an actively touring band.

it never will. nothing of this caliber/genre will. NOT saying this is bad music whatsoever, this is my favourite fucking shit of all time!! BUT, the thing that brings awards to music is the pop culture and exposure of it. hence why shit like "Billy Eylish" or whatever the fuck her name is 'sweeps' the grammys... theres no popular market for this type of music, so it will stay niche, which is kind of cool in its own way. keeps it special to us :)

When this video came out, I was sitting and enjoying it, my father came into my room, and he asked who it was? They have a cool drummer, he said (my father was a drummer in the 80s). And on April 15, my father was gone. He never understood this kind of music, but he always supported me and it was he who helped me when I was 13 years old and bought me my first guitar.

I think it's the lack of effects they have in the video, it's really hard to sound the way he does in the beginning of Reptile on the album without lots of compression etc but I only noticed that myself when I covered a few of their songs (check it out if you want). In the heavier parts it's not that hard though because the belting compresses your voice on its own..

That's... Usually how he sounds live tho? I mean, he says openly he records his studio performances line by line, not worrying about live, and I think that usually shows in his live performances. I still think what he does live is very impressive, because, well, the studio versions are basically impossible. But he always felt significantly shorter from the studio version than most metal vocalists.

Man, this song is so good. It feels like such a journey. Storytelling at it's finest. You get lost in the up and downs of the heavy sound, and light melodic parts, then the clock ticks 12 minutes into the song, and you're just left wondering how the hell that happen? Barely noticeable. In some ways still feels like a short song. But in reality, perfect length.
