When they first started cutting the fender I was biting my nails staring at the windows as the sparks were flying. I made the mistake of cutting around glass one time. Glad to see them covered a little later on, I can breathe now.

Danke ☺️ ja wenn es den Fall gibt das ein "Schnitt" nötig wäre, dann reißt es von ganz alleine ein. Das konnte ich bisher nur bei japanischen Autos beobachten. Honda civic und Nissan s14. Da ist bei der Produktion wohl das Blech schon näher an der streckgrenze. Bei deutschen Herstellern klappte es bisher immer problemlos

Man the old school way to wide body when kits weren't available. I remember V.i.p cars in Hawaii were doing crazy pulled radius wide body. I fell in love with the v.i.p scene , the wide body just wide enough tgat it looks oem plus before people started going crazy extreme wide body like liberty walk. Dont get me wrong, the lb walk kits on super cars look crazy becasue it was un heard of at the time for folks to buy 200k plus cars then cut into the body panel well knowing its a big ass nasty money pit.

BMW does not have straight arches, they are slightly curved. Look at the E46 M3 arches. If you take a line from edge of the wheel to the body, the center is about 10-15mm raised. If you weld steel plates the welding process will straighten (tighten) the metal.

Is der Selfmade Widebody legal, oder kann man das garnet eintragen oder muss man es überhaupt eintragen?

Ich kapiere nicht wie das später funktionieren soll... Ein Reifen soll mindestens 40mm einfedern können um ein funktionierendes Fahrwerk zu ermöglichen. Die bestehende Seitenwand bzw der Kotflügel werden ja aber nicht gezogen sondern ausgeschnitten und enden dann 15mm über dem Reifen. Natürlich bekommt der Reifen zusätzlich ein schickes Blechdach aber er stößt doch bei jeder Bodenwelle an dieser neu entstandenen Kante an. Sowas zum hinstellen zu bauen ist für mich ok, aber wer will sowas fahren? Oder habe ich da einen grundsätzlichen Denkfehler?
