CM as Nongthombam Biren Sing. He is a Meitei. There are 60 MLAs, 40 are Meitei including Meitei muslim and 20 are Tribal. They enjoy OBC, GEN & SC. 75% of Govt employees are meitei. 25% are kuki and naga. All the important offices, IIT, Hospitals, University are located in meitei dominated imphal city

Those 40 seat are not from reserved category. You reserved category people have also right to contest in that 40 seats other than ur 20 reserved seats

HA HA...General Seats are unreserved. And Meiteis are OBC but classification within the group is there. The concept of creamy/non-creamy layer applies.
