What u saw at the end is a Tamil festival called Jallikatu. It’s actually a tradition. They celebrate it along with Pongal Holidays. They won’t hurt the bull, the ppl have to tame the bull and the bull can even win and the bull’s owner will collect the rewards… but as a whole, the animals are not harmed in anyway, it at all the tamers might injured… This is a crucial event, where even that bull is also trained to escape the ppl… Its such a huge tradition and process. We are actually proud of the tradition….

​@@sridharanv5841 Yeah you missed the most important point of Jallikattu. Keeping a Bull is pretty much meritless. Cows are usually kept because they give milk which can be sold. So no one usually keeps bull unless for pride and emotional attachment to the owners. Jallikkattu is a sport that decides the fiercest and most untamable bulls in that community or district or even the state. Hence these bulls are highly sought after for breeding. Thus the strongest genes of bulls pass on their gene. That's how they make the money. Rewards in the festival/competition are secondary. Also if a bull is harmed even the slightest during the event, the whole event will be discarded.

I saw this movie yesterday very emotional made me tear up a lot times coz this story was very similar to mine almost 90 percent. Actor Karthi was very apt for this role very innocent always sees good in people reminds of my cousin in my native hometown. Wait for OTT platform release ull love the entire 3 hrs.

Hello... Loving your reviews on these trailers. I am not sure if this movie hits your heart for you guys. But anyone who born before 2K in India could definitely relate most of the things in this movie. The movie is emotional driven with no fight scenes or romance. It hits hard, the journey is sweet, pleasant and fulfilling. Just watched it day before yesterday on theatre and left with a fulfilled heart!

"Brother-in-law" was not the accurate translation in the sub-titles. "Cousin" should be the translation. Actually, the son of your father's sister (called "athai") is "atthan." In the Tamil culture, a girl could marry this cousin (father's sister's son). In short, children of a brother and sister could marry, but not children of brothers or children of sisters.
