Some viewers have been asking if the flowers I drew are lilies - yes they are. When I was thinking of how to make this artwork, I wanted something emotional and beautiful to remember Alan Rickman by. I felt Snape is one of Alan's most iconic roles, and one of my favorite characters that he played. Snape loved Lily, and lost her, but now, in a way, he's with her again. It is really sad to think of that, but at the same time, I felt it was fitting for this tribute. He is with her now, after all this time.

It has now been over six months since Alan Rickman passed away from a short battle with pancreatic cancer. This is an extremely touching tribute to Alan. He's going to be always missed in potterheads' hearts.

I literally have no words for how moving this artwork is. I am certain that if Alan were around to see this he would be honored at the portrayal. From interviews, he has said that he really enjoyed playing Snape and being part of that entire process. Having been a fan of his since the first Die Hard movie, I was very sad to hear he passed. I was quite surprised to find out his age - I had thought he was at least 10 years younger.
