I lost my mother 15 years ago when I was just a kid. At that moment, even with the pain of loss, I had no idea how much I would miss her in the years to come. How much that the lack of it would influence what I became. Her absence, along with that of my father, (who passed away 1 year before her) changed me forever. At that moment I didn't understand, but today I know the pain of losing someone irreplaceable. Someone who gives you love and affection from the womb and always puts his own life after yours. Someone who will protect you even in the afterlife (if there is one). So, as much as this moment is almost unbearable, use your happy memories with your mother, and they will help you move on. Think about how she loved, and what you could do to make her happy. Live in a way that would make her proud of you, being as good a person to others as she was to you. And, of course, keep making songs like this to help people like us bear the pain of loss and cherish life as a whole, since we find out the hard way that nothing is forever, just moments in time. Hope you can understand my bad english xD

i lost my mother to cancer only a year and a month ago and im only 21 and she was my bestfriend and mentor and my guardian and without her i have been so lost, thank you for sharing your emotions.
