In a sense he was mine too. It was his speed later when he gets enraged, that I used to try to sorta perfect my LS deflection of monster attacks on. Get his pattern down as he's about to tear down the world and I'd say you're pretty much good for the rest. Deflection and dodging attacks with LS that is, lol.

Honestly, Fighting Odogaron with my "Barbarian" character (aka only leg and waist armor) made me believe he was too fast for me to fight with the Greatsword. But as I fought him some more, I learned one trick. Anticipate what his next move is and then make sure my attack connects right where he's going to be. After learning that, I become deadly against him. Dodging and moving when needed and making sure that when I DO attack, I made sure I was 100% in making the hit.

Yes, moderate monsters like Great Jagras, Great Girros, Kulu-Ya-Ku, Tzitzi-Ya-Ku and Dodogama have less intense versions of the base battle themes of the areas they specifically inhabit.

Wall? He's fast, but keeps his attacks relatively simple. You miiiight have to switch to a weapon that can respond just as quickly, but it's not necessary after learning him a bit. I guess I can see how newer players might get caught up, though - there's nothing like him in the game quite up to his point, except maybe Kadachi (who telegraphs his attacks more.)

hell, you can stick with whatever weapon you're maining at the moment, but if it's slow, you have to really not be greedy or he will just ravage you and his bleed status + the miasma hp chip will pretty much make the fight a nightmare because not only are you panicking at that point, but you still have to deal with a monster that's fast and can close a lot of distance.

This battle theme is so good. And ironically it isn't even that explosive like something like say, Elder Dragons. This theme has a small hint of light melodies within the intense ones. Overall it makes for a fantastic yet beautiful composition. When you realize what the Rotten Vale is, it kinda fits into place as to why it can sound a bit melancholic.

The first time I encountered Radobaan, I thought it was like Anjanath that gives me so much problems like I kept failing and failing but turns out.. I was wrong, I was able to dodge most of it's attacks and never get fainted once. He's not as tough as I expected

How bout MHW Add a fricken undead spider, I know there’s already one but c’mon either create something completely scary and made of bones or that spider b**** from MH4U. Because c’mon in the other maps you got apex, invaders, subspecies oh my. But here just really? Only 2 monsters here are worth fighting in the theme being rabodaan and Clifford the big red dog. And if gyceprous (I didn’t spell it correctly) comes back in the rotten vale and this theme plays then truly we got a god dang rotten vale. Vaal is actually pretty scary plus his theme is cool as hell.

I'm not throwing in hate your way, but you use the bow too passively for my tastes. With stamina recovery up from either a Hunting Horn user or the Adrenaline skill, the bow can be used as a DPS weapon with a flurry of arrows, the dodge slide, and the dodge melee attack. If done right, it's possibly one of the coolest styles, and it can apply status effects on the monsters rather quickly. Experimentation and patience is important with any weapon, and learning styles like the one detailed above can really boost your experience in fighting monsters like the Odogaron or the Rathalos. Plus, the dodge melee attack, done with patience and spacing in mind of course, allows the bow user the ability to mount more frequently and can help recover stamina at a higher rate whilst still dealing damage.

I want to add a tip in the case this player didnt know. The dragon piecer can also be charged. You either charge it up to max and then do the dragon piecer or you shoot R2 3 times. Each time the charge level goes higher so after the 3th shot is when you use dragon piecer. It is also good to hit him with DP from head to tail or the other way to get the most out of your DP. But judging from the video, the player does try it often.
