⁠@@MekwokStudio I’m currently a woodworker, but honestly I’m just absorbing as much knowledge as I can from luthiers such as yourself about wood selection, forms, shaping to tone the wood correctly, … and so much more. I come from a musical family (my father is a Persian percussionist) and my children have found their love in music themselves. My daughter is currently using a rental 1/2 violin and my goal is to make her 4/4 violin.

unfortunately you did not answer my question ! I mean what did you do for finding the accurate place for F-holes and what are your measurements from the top of the plate ? what are the usage of those circles that you drew ? how did you find the accurate place for eyes of F holes ?

Hello. I just watched a tutorial by swedish master violin maker Peter Westerlund, were he goes through the steps of making his 400ed violin. inkluding his approch to arching, shaping of the back and front with the pitch (while scratching /tapping the wood) as the all ruling guide line. He also shows how the clarity or intensity of the sound vibration travels up and down the soundboard in a frequence pattern with 5 point of clear sound from bottom to top. At the two central points he will place the two holes of each f-hole. (His violins goes for 15 000 euros or so). Check him out for more details! Fashinating
