He's usually like that during interviews. I'm not sure about him being nervous with the way he plays with his ear and such. Usually when his beard is longer, he's twisting that. I think that i'ts just that he's got so much pent up energy and perhaps he's way ADHD or something, but without all of that, I don't think that he would have accomplished as much as he has. He seems like someone who gets or needs very little sleep. Buddy Rich was that way too.

My favourite war movie he starred in early in his career in Australia was Gallipoli. A fictional story but based on truth close to Australian and New Zealanders' hearts (The ANZACS). WW1.

Whatever Mr. Gibson did, I think by now he's more than paid for it in full. The Year of Living Dangerously is one my fav films of all time and it was him in his young prime. It's OK to appreciate the man's past work and dare I say it, hope for more.

A very rare strong soul who has somehow thrived in that business. Of course he has a shadow side! Who here doesn't hey? In what is now known to be very dark, manipulative & controlled area of his profession, he worked through that, coming out stronger on the other side. Many in that profession have just succumbed during that time, accepted the dark deals, out of fear or wanting the huge advantages offered, for 'selling their souls'... More of that will no doubt come out soon... Mel refused to kowtow to the powerful forces puppetting so many there, also speaking out like few do, around divisive psychological tactics used against our socities, at great cost to himself... How many actors there have been so mercillessly hounded by the also manipulated main stream media? He's an inspiration to all of us, all struggling to walk the best path we can, despite the internal struggles we all have. Thank you Mel! 🧡🐉 And what a great performance here after not sleeping 72 hours!

@@bungalowlogic7676 no matter what they do, they won't get to capture the magic of the original along with casting actors with the same calibre 😁 Hollyweird could never..... or let's just say that we would never again find that creativity out of Hollywood again 🤷 But then again .... Lol the typical "let's whitewash everything this man did to wreck his own career and blame others" comment. This poster has the memory of a house fly. Mel Gibson deserved all the kicking he got for outing himself to be a bigot and racist, but I guess Hollywood will rehabilitate anyone after long enough time.
