It was a threat because Mel was proceeding with the divorce and fighting back when HE FILED an attempt to get full custody. All Mel did was stand up for herself legally. Mel doesn't lie for herself but Whortell was mad because she was telling the court the truth. When Whortell lost visitation with the kids for abusing Tank, he blamed Mel, but the truth is that Tank told his court appointed counselor about the abuse.
