When asked about getting along with Trump's children, she said "They're a bit younger than me." to which, Donald replied "Not much..." and the audience burst out laughing. Even then she knew how to deal with reporters. In regards to pretty young women not marrying middle aged mechanics- it's a trade, wealth for youth and beauty. It's been the way of the world since forever. So let's not pretend this is somehow shocking and outrageous. Why insinuate she's a gold digger when the man agrees and even encourage this mutual trade. I don't see the reporter questioning the man as to why he's taking a young woman and not someone his own age.

Okay, there's something wrong with the ages this guy is stating these two are. Donald was born on June 14, 1946, and Melania was born on April 26, 1970. So, there's only a 24-year age difference, not the 27-year age difference that his stated ages of 26 and 53 would indicate, which for her, would make this interview in 1996, but for him, would make this interview in 1999. EDIT: Since they first met at a party in 1998, this interview must have been in 1999, making her 29yo in this interview, not his stated 26yo. It seems odd that she didn't correct him.

She didn’t have to do the interview. She allowed it and I’m sure she was aware of how it would go. Regardless, this was just a sit down chat that was harmless. He was engaging with her and she answers all his questions. Questions many were probably curious about. So many people today are so easily offended at everything.
