Melanie Fiona Live @ SOB's rare acoustic set

On May 1st the New York City spring concert season got off to a proper start thanks to Melanie Fiona. The two time Grammy award winner packed the historic Sounds of Brazil to capacity and treated fans who live the "MFLife" to a rare acoustic performance followed by a 30 minute mostly acapella encore. After running through her catalogue of hits and fulfilling request from the crowd. Melanie sat down with us to recap her set and update us on the new music she has been working on.

I don't know if this is selfish, but I know Melanie should be more popular as a talent than she is, but a part of me is glad that she isn't. Because she isn't, she remains accessible at an intimate venue such as SOB's and is not over exposed like other stars who become more of a brand than they are an artist. Longevity is more valuable than a meteoric rise. This young lady has true talent and seems genuinely humble. Keep on!

Amazing woman. Her music is real, & for those who've been asleep or are blind to true honest talent due to this washed up music industry, you're missing out on that real shit that you've been looking for that is Melanie Fiona. Anyone who listen to real music with real feeling like the great Michael Jackson, Lauryn hill, Sam Cooke etc. Its all embodied in this woman. Get familiar people and open your eyes!. Real music is out there, you just have to find it now.
