This music video might seem strange to some people, but it makes perfect sense. Melanie said that PORTALS is based of off past life regression therapy books that she read, and one of the stages of being born into a new life is seeing a bunch of light just coming down on you, like a shower of light. Light shower! The light is cleansing your soul and taking you to your next life, which is what happened here in the music video. And when Mel said, "spend my last days on earth eating you" they LITERALLY meant it. The snail ate the light on their last day of living, and then passed on to their new life after their soul was cleansed by the shower of light.
