He is gut-wrenchingly sad and distraught as he relays how humans are "wrecking the planet" after his teacher showed the class a documentary on "environmentalism". The news stories regarding this video call it things like "Boy develops a passion for sustainability" or "Little environmentalist gets emotional". One article even said in it's commentary something like 'it's sad, but also kind of hysterically funny'. *NO. It's ABUSE. PSYCHOLOGICAL CHILD ABUSE, to be specific.* On the part of the State. This was a _significant psychological and emotional experience_ for this child. It was his initiation into the Left's "environmental group-think". It was his initiation into Agenda 21 and "sustainability". It was, in fact, psychological and emotional abuse on the part of the teacher, the school administration and the State. God I love this woman. Integrity is just not something you can buy, it has to be an integral part of your personality from early on. It´s an absolute delight to hear her speak. People like her are shining beacons of light in what feels like an age of intellectual darkness. Everything she says is right. What should bother the english is how an institution such as BBC ever got involved in activism. People want to purchase a true news story, not indoctrination. The most dangerous part is having a public that is confused and misinformed. If a rival/enemy broadcaster keeps beating you in delivering the clearer picture of an event, how steadfast would your population be in times of real crisis? This was excellent apart from one awkward moment, where being discussed was the concept of what and what should not be up for debate. Unfortunately, and she knew it was an untenable position, she felt that there were certain things that should be beyond debate, such as debating whether a coloured person or black man is racially inferior. Now, I agree with her fully that such a concept is absurd, and wrong to talk about. But on the other hand, by saying that there are things that cant be debated, she is in a way promoting that practice which she obviously abhors in the media, that of silencing the majority by cancelling debate. To Melanie's credit, and I don't know her, she more or less said that to hold the position she does on the issue of what can and cannot be debated is counter to her own argument against today's media. This is where we fell down in the first place. Free speech, and a healthy society, depends on anything being debated, and being allowed to be debated, however abhorrent and absurd one persons point of view might be. We should never censor/deny the worst opinions in society simply because we don't like them for one very important reason: By ensuring that the worst points of view have a place on the podium to be discussed and debated, we ensure that all points of view have a right of place to be debated and discussed on the podium. In such an arena, as has been proven time and again, the absurd has its time in the limelight, and fades in the face of reason. Once you decide to censor one dreadful and factually incorrect opinion about a particular issue, it is not even a half a step to censor another opinion that is factually correct, and needs to be heard. And from there, it's less than 1/4 of a step to the unpalatable situation where by your own opinion is censored. Never forget the number one principle of Western Law. For you to get a good hearing and justice, you must first protect the Devil's right to a fair hearing and justice.

I've always been a massive supporter of the BBC, always realised how important it is. HOWEVER now it has gone very firmly down the identity politics road. It constantly preaches the diversity idealogy and refuses to see the failure of multiculturalism. It's politics are now very firmly on display. Worse still, diversity politics are visible throughout it's programming, from news right through to entertainment and drama. *It does NOT accept this as left wing it pretends that it's the centre.* The labelling of anything to the right of Far Left as far right, alt right or nationalist is the norm. For the first time the BBC is in danger but doesn't seem to realise or accept it. Where i disagree is Israel. The BBC and all media in UK are terrified of talking about Israel, the settlements and the lurch to the right in Israel's politics. It's asinine to suggest Israel is somehow an innocent party that is beset by dishonest journalism. The very opposite is true. Coverage of Israel is incredibly tame, we never saw (for example) the sniping killing of green tee shirt kid, we never got told when the creative editing of the Mavi Mara attack was discovered (we just showed it unquestionably over all reporting of incident-despite it clearly not from objective source). We're never shown the deaths of innocents, journalists and medics in recent protests nowhere near the fence, we're never told what the international law is on using lethal force against unarmed protesters (how many Israelis were wounded? How many even hurt? How many shots were fired into Israel?). Unfortunately for Melanie the facts, she so eloquently says should be sacrosanct, show a different reality. The numbers of those killed, the destruction of property, the Gaza blockade and the horrific figures in the enclave *and the massive increase in settlement building and settlers is beyond question.* They're so one sided, so against international law in cases or just against the Israel wants peace narrative that it's now impossible to ignore. It's not Far Left lies that has got people sick of Israel. It's the behaviours and (for example) the settlement building that makes a mockery of its peace claims of last 25years. The settler movement and Netanyahu is very clear about what it is doing, they want all the land from the river to the sea with Jerusalem as its Capital. There is no two State solution. All claims that it wanted peace are completely undermined by the growing settlements, the land grabs and the taking of Palestinian homes. The rhetoric from the Knesset is increasingly toxic and, if it was regularly reported, public opinion would shift against Israel even more strongly and very quickly. I was a very vocal supporter of Israel but the facts have reluctantly changed that. I view Mavi Mara differently now and Gaza 2015 was final nail. *Melanie is right about the Left, it's dominance of culture and language, it's feelings over facts and it's very divisive and damaging identity politics.* She's spot on about the media's complete failure to be objective and the need to challenge it. HOWEVER Israel, it's supporters, it's lobbying machine and it's media watchdogs are doing a remarkable job in keeping journalists and politician's quiet. It's still career suicide and anti Semitic smears for anybody who just gives out the numbers, never mind opinions. Claiming Isrsel criticism should be viewed as Far Left lunacy is just the latest tactic of the Hasbara. Israel needs friends to save it from itself. The violent nationalistic and religious fundamentalism rhetoric would not be accepted in any European country, least of all by Israel. It needs saving from itself.

Most of us do not spend hours ferreting out facts. For most folks - all us us, to greater or lesser extent - you eventually have to settle on your own "short list" of reliable or important sources. Take some from the left, right and middle. As a Ron Paul libertarian sort, I like Jimmy Dore and REDACTED for what truth there is to be had from the Progressive left, although I wish they understood how civil society should be set up in an imperfect world with imperfect people. I read her book a week back. it was unremarkable from a literary viewpoint, but reasonable in its direction. as to this post I find myself agreeing in large part but sense certain black holes in Melanie's reasoning. free speech is impossible with caveats. that must be made plain. her examples of blacks and jews are straw man arguments. and while mentioning jews .. there is more than enough evidence to show hugely disproportionate and dangerous Zionist influence on american policy across the board. The term "Fake News" was created in response to Pizzagate. Whatever you think about the truth or falsity of Pizzagate, it is undeniable the term was created for Pizzagate, simply view the google trends graph for term "Fake News" and "Pizzagate", using timescale "2004-Present" and you will see this is the case. Therefore there is nothing remotely organic about the term "Fake News", it wasn't a word of its time, it wasn't coined, it was simply brought into being, very rapidly to counter the Pizzagate allegations, which (again it doesn't matter if you think the allegations are true or false) were considered damaging to Hillary's election chances. Fake News is a tool of information warfare, nothing more nothing less.

If? We continue too remain complicite and complacent. At the end of the day, we will only have ourselves to blame and hurt. If? We do not stand up and fight peace-fully, life will not be worth anything. Their decitful tyranny, is without a doubt in my mind, created by the politicians and banksters, big corperations, big pharma, oligards/mafia, secret societies, and the worse of them all, "ALL royal houses", they are all connected, in a non-positive, evil deciteful way. I think this is unfair to the Guardian. It can be quite a good newspaper. For example, that new Puppy you have joyously brought into your life will need to be toilet trained. Need to put newspaper down just in case but don.t want to use printed matter of any worth. ? Guardian to the rescue. As long as your little Pup doesn't realise that this paper isnt even worth pissing on all should work well. When the Pup gets a little older and his little brain develops however you will find that he doesnt even want to waste his pee on this. Hopefully he will be fully toilet trained by this time.

Maybe this is my own filtering but this is such a reasonable yet alarming report from Melanie Phillips. It is hard to compare this with the drivel I have just watched in the hyped pseudo- dialogue with Bill Maher, Frank Bruni, and Jay Inslee who rambled on about climate change. I think fanaticism is the only refuge for those defending an indefensible position.
