I think they feel older because they all debut quite a bit older than a lot groups. I.M being the youngest was still 18 when they debuted and Shownu was 21. No Mercy was a last chance for most of them. So when you compare that to the 15 (JK) and 17 (V) maybe they just seem older? Also BTS debuted in 2013 I'm pretty sure, not 2010. But I think debuting older also allowed them to explore more mature concepts earlier in their career as well. Edit: I.M was 19 and Shownu was 22. I miscounted.
