I agree with your comments on this product. I doesn’t add definition that is not already in your hair. I have used it with Shea moisture raw Shea detangling leave in. I actually had a beautiful defined wash and go but it frizzed out after Two days. But I used it with the Mane Choice biotin infused gel and I can get a week out this wash and go. With very little refreshing.

I think your hair looks great, but I have definitely seen you with a bit more definition. I have so many products and have to get rid of some before purchasing another thang, but I do want to try it. Love Nap85 but she doesn’t have 4c hair which is why she probably has mad definition. And that is totally ok. 4c is a bit different. I think you just gave an honest opinion and did not come across negative at all. I appreciate you keeping it real! Thanks for sharing!

Nap85 hair is type 4. Regardless if it's A, B, or C. It's kinky curly.

Awakening Soul I disagree, yes she does have type 4 hair, but more on the A side, which is a tighter spiral more defined curl pattern. Type 4c hair is highly kinky/textured and requires more tlc. and is definitely not always easy to show definition. Everyone’s head of her is different and takes products differently. Regardless of A,B, C it’s all beautiful. This is my opinion!

That makes sense bc if its an elongating cream you wont get as much definition. So for people with shorter hair this is perfect. For longer hair like yours Lexi you already have nice length so of course you want the most curl definition. Your hair looks gorgeous though

Thanks for your honesty and I totally agree with your impression. I purchased during the presale to show support of a black business. The ingredients of the cream are high quality but I had similar results, not as defining as my favorite styler which is Kinky Tresses at this point(which you turned me on to!) another black business...so my coins are still in the family which is the most important thing!

Spot on review. This product is extremely moisturizing but doesn't provide the hold that you may want if you use it alone. I love Melanin hair cream. With gel it's prefect. I use super wet gel with it. Your hair is beautiful!

But you know your hair better than anyone and if you feel that the definition was not there then certainly you know your hair. Thanks for being honest, our 4c hair is different, products work differently on our hair compared to looser textures. I always have to use a gel with my styler if I want definition. Your hair looks great. I wish she had sample products.

I tried this with the oil. I think if you used the multi use oil on top of it, you would've gotten more definition. Maybe. The oil has copolymer in it and I'm pretty sure that's what gives the hair the hold you'd like.

I know what you mean about definition but where it slightly lacked in definition it made up in shine , stretch and moisture... most butters don’t do all 3 well ... I think she did a good job and your hair looks beautiful and healthy with her product ... let’s say it gives ENOUGH definition for a successful twist out.

You are correct Lexi, I have 4a/b and this product gave me more definition than what you achieved, but the moisture is on point. I still think your twist out is great! I'm so so with styling twist outs, but better with wng and I added just a little Kinky Curly to my wng and it turned out bomb. I didn't use any gel for my twist out.

I concur - definitely looks like Day 2 or 3 hair, but STILLLLL cute! I saw a trick u did by braiding the twists - major reason I didn't like twists and prefer wash and gos is bc of MAJOR shrinkage to the point I look like a boy as opposed to a little shrinkage with wash and gos that I eliminate by using ribbons.... I guess I will retry to twist🙄... 😂😂😂, and see if I like it after your method. Thanks for the unbiased review!

I agree that it has no hold. This product functions as a hair moisturizier for me. The glycerin + humid climate makes my twists frizz when used as instructed. So I use it alone as a blow-out creme; with setting lotion/mousse for roller/rod/CurlFormer sets; with gel &whipped cocoa butter for twists/twistouts.
