i ´ve had excised today on a back. It was in situ. It was the second "just to be sure" excision. Initial first was in september and checked in the lab. All you people i wish you good luck.

You'll be good and numbed up, should be alright, maybe a tad tender for a while. I've had, and I'm sure you have, many shave biopsies and those just kinda itch as they heal unless you hit them with something. I can't imagine it being too different during the operation, but probably a bit sore since it's a larger area.

Just to reply, it wasn’t too bad at all. I have an almost three inch scar that runs down the left side of my face and they took out a circle about the size of a silver dollar to start, but they got it all. Now I’m waiting on results from another biopsy. The worst part was actually the stitching. Unlike in this video they did mine over the course of a few days, so I had the big wound covered up for two days while they waited for results, which didn’t hurt at all, but when they finally stitched it up it was so tight and painful. I think just because if where it was on my face.

@@karikeene7394 since replying to this, the 3 inch scar has become almost totally invisible minus a small pink line which is maybe an inch or less. I get comments all the time about how nice it turned out and how well it healed. My only complaint is they permanently messed up my beard. I can no longer grow sideburns on the left side because they cut the entirety of my sideburn area away 😂 Don’t be scared though, it was super not painful, healed up very well and you almost can’t even tell I had it done! Best of luck on yours! It’s a breeze!

I just found a tiny (about half a millimeter) black spot on my arm. It is stunningly dark compared to my other moles. I'm almost certain it's melanoma and hopefully still in situ. I am going to see my doc tomorrow.

How did everything turn out with the mole? I just got am abnormal mole removed today! It really wasn't too bad. I didn't feel much of anything

@@TheOzzyFilms I honestly don’t know. My GP outright dismissed it and refused to take a close look. I irritated the skin initially when I first noticed it, and a few days later it just peeled off. Once the skin evened out I noticed there still is a subtle dark spot. I am going to see a dermatologist later this week.

@@ninosawbrzostowiecki1892 Melanomas are often asymmetrical and 8mm or more in diametre. He probably had one look and saw that it was a small spot, shrugged it off as a regular mole, and called it a day. In all honesty it probably is just a regular mole, even if it's darker, but it's always better to be safe than sorry. You can always ask that dermo or doc for a biopsy too.

@@IAmKnight8 But this is BULLSHIT. My melanoma followed the ABCDE's. The only thing that caught my dermatologist's attention was that it was darker than the rest of my moles. Most are tan to light brown, my melanoma was dark brown. Not even black. ALWAYS go straight to a dermatologist, PCP's are not trained to know these subtle things.

i suddenly got a black little spot on my bigtoe. I cut away the dark part. Do i need to cut deeper? it did not hurt to cut the little piece off but i just cut skin off basically. Im not sure if its cancer but maybe..... stay on the safe side and cut deeper?

you should never cut skin to remove anything, unless of an emergency. Leave it to professionals, because cutting out things can actually make cancer worse.

If the black spot is like a string, coming from the lunula (the white part of the nail)/ the black spot suddenly appeared under your nail without any trauma etc. you should go see a doc asap~~

Hi Lucy... Saw your comment and just wanted to let you know your not alone! I had one in the same place too and convinced myself it was something sinister...I went to my gp...got the referral...wirh couple of months had it removed with a local anaesthetic and all was and is fine. The consultant told me that 9 out of 10 moles in this area are benign and just general moles. Be kind to yourself and your mental health and get it checked...the procedure really was manageable and was done in about 20 mins!! Hope that helps xx Kate xx

@@katebloor7933 This does make me feel better! I am 17 so I am waiting a couple of months til I can go myself. Though, my mum is aware lol I am just out in the sun a lot- I golf but I do wear protection. Plus, I am fair-skinned and my uncle had skin cancer. All the more reason to just be safe and go. I did get a referral =)
