Melanoma: Surgical Treatment and Revolutionary Advances

As we continue to get more sun exposure, Americans are increasingly being diagnosed with melanoma or other skin cancers. Americans are responsibly getting their skin checked more frequently, which has led to identifying an increased number of skin cancers. A melanoma diagnosis can be frightening, with surgery the mainstay of treatment for most early melanomas. Fortunately, several advances in melanoma therapies have revolutionized how we treat these cancers over the last decade, making treatment planning far more complex.
