You are an amazing woman, Julie. My mother had melanoma in her 40's and recovered. It reoccurred when she was in her 80's. Once again, she prevailed. She is 90 and still powering along

In which stage melanoma detected in the age of 40's and 80's ? Did you take any therapy ?

@@sheshsahu7019 stage 1 and 2 better prognosis for the future. Stage 3 and 4 more difficult but I don't know more sorry.

Just told today that for the 3rd time my cancer has come back at age 43.I am a stage 4 patient now and I just wanted to say continue to help everyone in need and thank you for the uplifting video you posted.

not sure when you were diagnosed...but I am 2 yrs on after keytruda, most head and lung mets gone...keytruda didn't give me too many side effects until after two yrs...radiation did a bit...but don't give up, the treatments can work, just need to find the right onocologist..and have that beer and cake

Hi- hope you are doing well -my husband just diagnosed and begins Keytruda next week -has it in neck lymph nodes and groin.....

@@margaretmaskara9002 still going...keytruda is good stuff,just don't stay on it too long if its not needed any more...there is hope🙂

@@smca7271 oh thank you so much for reply .it makes me feel good. far too often in reading these posts in trying to educate myself on this you don't get a reply to questions- you just made me feel better, thanks. Plan is hopefully for 6 months no more than a yr. as the sarcoidosis is a factor....be well.

@@margaretmaskara9002 don't give up...My two brain mets would have meant I had 4mths left, a few years ago...but keytruda kicked it (plus craniotomy and radiation)...but I'm still going....you will not find much on the web past 5 yrs,so don't put too much stock in their "Over five yrs survival rate",the numbers are not in yet,good luck.

My mum had one on her arm she got it cut out at rpa big mistake it spread to her brain 30 tumours back in January 2019 she went to hospital the entire family broke down 😭 she died 4 months later too far advanced the radiation and immutherpy didn’t work seeing her not be able to pick up a fork was devestating

Dear Greg So sorry to hear about your mum and understand how difficult it is for your family. If detected early 90% of melanomas are cured by surgery. I'm sorry this was not the case for your mum. Very best wishes.

How did Melanoma present? It's helpful to know what symptoms you had or what did you notice on yourself that made you act upon it??
