A Melbourne bishop has become the world’s youngest cardinal after Pope Francis elevated Mykola Bychok to the second-highest position in the Catholic church. The ordainment means 44-year-old Ukrainian-born priest has effectively become Australia’s most senior Catholic and first cardinal since George Pell.
