Moreira missed the boat on Buckaroo in the Caulfield Cup and left without it here. Going back from the wide draw was understandable but started his run at the 800m and 9 wide into the straight. Surprised the horse was still there at the 200. Meanwhile Sea King draws in 1, settles last and follows Buckaroo even though you could drive a truck through the gaps closer to the rail, as the jockeys on the first and second horses demonstrated.

William buick, Holly doyle, adrea atzeni who gave his mount a decent ride and sat on the rails all the way, i know i backed him and the Japanese guy who finished second. European racing is far more cut and thrust than your racing. Not many aussie jocks can cut it in Europe if any. I remember years ago Jmac rode in England for a little bit, could barely get a ride and now he's your best rider. 😂

I would agree if you mean hollie doyle who for the life of me don't understand how she gets decent rides. Decent in a normal race on a provincial track but not cut out for the big meets. The otyer international jocks ride all around the the world. Your tracks are pretty basic and don't hold any mystery to them. European tracks really do need local knowledge.

Useless staying jockey. Good on $2 shots in Hong Kong when they jump from the gate and know one speed. Can't do anything past 2000m. He's been given great rides and butchers it every time.
