very cool Everett! I've been looking at them hard.

I would highly recommend it. It saves you from having to lug your laptop around. Especially if you have a tablet.

I've had a Mele Quieter 3Q for a few months ago. It's excellent! My only concern is to see how well it handles the heat in the summer.

I'm hoping it will be ok in the summer as well. We will see.

Thanks Everett. It's been cloudy here in Rochester NY for months. No better time to do maintenance on the rig. I've had my eye on the asi air plus.

The ASI Air is a good option as well, but the only thing is is your limited to getting ZWO products

I love NINA took me a while to get used to it but I can't see me ever going back to anything else now, I'm currently imaging Thor's Helmet nebula it's my third night on the target but I really don't get a lot of time with each session due to where it is in the sky, hoping to get around 4 to 5 hours on it at least. I'm also looking at building a second rig so I will be buying one of those Mele quieter 3Q's at some point as they seem to be a popular choice.

Thor's helmet is on my bucket list. Don't know if I'll be able to get to it this year due to the lovely weather we've been having....NOT! I can say with the limited time I've had it....it seems to good.

I see that your running a explorer scientific eq mount. I need help with mine. Having trouble connecting wireless to Nina.
@AstroEverett8 ай бұрын
I do not connect wirelessly. I'm hardwired in. I've heard there is a way to connect wirelessly but I'm not sure how to do it....sorry.

What wires are you using to connect? I’ve tried mini usb with no luck using Nina. Have not tried the RJ12 port yet. I got this mount on sale for $299 and I feel like a made a mistake buying it and looking to sell it.

Hi Everett, I bought the mele a year ago and have still to connect it all up and use nina etc because I just find the whole thing daunting - ascom, nina, phd etc. However, I’m using the mele for processing stuff at the moment. When I switch it on, I’ve added a password to the log in. How do I override this once I start using it remotely? Thanks.

There is a program you have to install on the Mele quiter3 that will bypass having to login. I can't remember what it is but Cuiv the lazy geek covered it on his channel. Check it out. You might be able to find it before I can get home from work.

@@AstroEverett Thanks, I froze the video to see the icon a few days back but no luck in searches possibly they went under or changed their name which is too bad as it looks to be a decent application....
