With the debug console, you need to enable it first by editing "options.ini" in your game files and setting the "EnableDebugConsole" option to 1. Then when you're in game, press the key just under "esc" to open it. You can type "g damocles" and press Enter to give yourself damocles for example. Otherwise, the item Eden's blessing gives you a free random item at the start of your next run.
