I just started the game and I‘m honestly shocked lmao, all weapons I perceived as dogshit are apparently the best in the game. Of course I was judging them on a play time of 2 hours, but damn I have a buckload of stuff to learn.

This tier list is perfect for new players. I only have one exception to this list. The katana for me is definitely my best weapon. It fits my play style. Tons of combos and TODs. I think it'd be different if i played mnk

Holdchecking = Holding a charged focus attack and checking what your opponent will do. Heaven (Penemue) here on YT made a great video about Naraka holdchecking 👍

As a fan of the katana and I came to learn to bait counters really well I do agree with this list. Also every weapon in this game is enjoyable. Surprised to say I also came to enjoy the pistol as well. I'm still new to the game ever since it came to the PS and have been enjoying it

Same story except I liked it because it was so much like MH with PvP but now I’m seeing the amount of practice people have to put into this monetized game and I’m starting to lean away from it unfortunately. It’s a shame because there’s a lot of potential but it’s too Fortnite for me.

Just a question is the true Combo RMB+Dash Cancel+RMB+Uppercut by Dual Blades unsafe ? In the training the dummy can dodge it sometimes or do I something wrong ? :O

That's the first thought I had when using the fist combos during wait time in lobby.. Like a brass knuckle weapon or something like. Would love to see that next since this is a martial arts type of fighting game as well. I have a feeling that might be the next new weapon coming out honestly. Will come back to this if it really does happen. 😂

Range is really useful but you need some experience before using them, as a new player its pretty easy to get punished if you use range improperly.

It is holding a blue focus attack to check enemy reactions. You can hold blue then cancel it with jump, crouch or dash (prefered) and see if they tried to parry. Then maybe next time you release it as they are not trying to parry. You get the idea. It is a safe way to check enemy idea. Also you are immune to light attack staggers so it is pretty strong.

no idea dude, greatsword is the worst weapon in the game, acutally both heavy swords... to slow easy to parry all attacks. but yeah the pole is better, but I just dont use it because I suck with it I guess.
