If you're a budget player and don't want to invest in impulse or a playset of fenrirs, what would you replace those with? droplets?

@@Slimjimmy17 Droplets or Tactics aren't bad alternatives. Otherwise, depending on your build, you could also go with Veilers. Keep in mind that if youre main-decking Shifter (which will not be a great idea next format), youre going to clash with Veiler and Droplet. Droll and Nib aren't bad alternatives either, really just format dependent.

impulses are pain in the ass to buy...they're so expensive now :((

I've been hesitant to play impulse because it could potentially turn off fenrir, zeus and mannequin cat. Did you find it was worth it to play. Great deck profile!!

​@@FuzzzyJuniortbh if you resolve Impulse in a good spot, the other cards probably aren't going to be absolutely necessary. I'm sure there'll be times where I'll miss the Mosquito for an OTK potential though!

From memory, it gives you access to Sprind for free. It does however take up non-engine spots, making the deck a fair bit worse going 2nd. Not a big fan! I'd rather be able to handtrap/BB my opponent, and be Nib protected by prioritising resolving Gigantic.

what are your side patterns

Generally quite straight forward - Swaps and Ice Barrier cards out for board breakers going 2nd, some hand traps/Super Poly/Shifters out for going 1st cards depending on what I'm up against.

Honestly might be right, really just depends on the format as well. I do think that killing Mosquito feels bad.

Can usually set up rabbit and red or carrot and pass letting them draw 1

Just play 3 ash , 3 droll , 1 called by if they draw the charmys and u don't draw your cards there just better
