I played with Meli'sa back when we were both in Kashif's band in 84, I believe it was. Jeff Smith was on bass and saxophone. She was a great singer back then, too. I remember the year before when she was singing backup for Chaka Khan. Great singer and great person too!

Finally found this song I've been searching for YEARS . Trina & Trick daddy's remix of this song is what lead me here . Haven't heard this song in so long the beat and her voice is just amazing . Only 20 btw but I'm so glad my parents blasted music like this growing up because this is real music . I don't know where I would be without it.

People keep saying this sounds like Chaka that because Chaka is on those vocals. Like Janet Jackson was on Herb Alpert " Making Love in the Rain." Like the Girl from Brownstone was on Angie Stone" I wish I didn't miss you anymore "Chorus. I know you didn't think Angie voice was that strong. Melissa can blow but, how you can't hear Chaka in that chorus?
