Lyrics for y’all: So you say you really miss me? (Aah) Well, that makes me laugh 'Cause you miss the way I let you walk all over me Broke every bone in my back So you wanna reminisce things? Huh (aah) Well, don't come round here with that If we review through your phony excuses I bet it won't change the past Closed for the weekend Don't you apologize I know you don't mean it I quit Here's to the "no"s To the "I think you should go"s To the "leave his ass alone"s To the "hanging up the phone"s To the "no man can demand my body, my spirit, my love" Oh-oh Here's to the "no"s To the "walk yourself on home"s To the "keeping on my clothes" To the "highs without the lows" To the "no man can demand my body, my spirit, my love" Oh-oh, I've had enough So you're claiming you're a martyr? What? Like, I don't have a clue Too bad I'm smarter, be discreet's a starter I'm staring right at the proof Closed for forever (uh-huh) I'm done with shutting up I've learned a lot better Listen Here's to the "no"s To the "I think you should go"s (I think you should go) To the "leave his ass alone"s To the "hanging up the phone"s To the "no man can demand my body, my spirit, my love" Oh-oh Here's to the "no"s To the "walk yourself on home"s To the "keeping on my clothes" To the "highs without the lows" To the "no man can demand my body, my spirit, my love, love, love" If you're so mature now Then I think it's time you grow up Admit you did it We all know you did it And yet you still gaslight me up You are such a flame out Your only drive left's in the bed (your only drive left's in the bed) I don't deserve this And for your next girlfriend You need to treat her with respect Here's to my girls Standing up for what they're worth Yeah, you know who run the world I am ready to be heard No man can demand my body, my spirit, my love (my body, my spirit, my love) Oh-oh And for the boys Who don't care who they destroy Told us "no" was not a choice You cannot silence our voice No man can demand our bodies, our spirits, our love Oh-oh, we've had enough

Seeing as I was actually sexually assaulted and raped at the age of 13,I can really relate to the lyrics! The part of the lyrics that went "And for the boys who don't care who they destroy told us no was not a choice you cannot silence our voice" was really relatable bc the guy who hurt me in that way always acted like that. He never gave me any choice and he was very abusive and threatening. He'd force me into things I wasn't comfortable with.

here is a story I wrote about this song Title: No Man Can Demand: Lilly's Liberation Chapter 1: The Revelation Lilly sat alone in her dimly lit room, her heart heavy with the weight of memories and regrets. The haunting melody of the song echoed through the silence, stirring emotions she had long tried to bury. Tears welled up in her eyes as she listened to the lyrics, each word a painful reminder of the love she had lost. "So you say you really miss me?" she whispered, her voice trembling with emotion. The name James hung in the air like a bitter pill, a constant reminder of the man who had broken her heart. She had once believed his promises, his declarations of love, but now she saw them for what they truly were: empty words meant to manipulate and control. Chapter 2: Reflections As the song played on, Lilly couldn't help but reflect on the past, on the moments she had allowed James to walk all over her. She remembered the sleepless nights, the endless arguments, the feeling of suffocation that seemed to consume her every time he was near. But now, as she listened to the defiant lyrics, she felt a spark of something new ignite within her-a sense of empowerment she hadn't felt in years. She was tired of being a victim, tired of letting James dictate her worth. It was time to take back control of her life. Chapter 3: Closure Closure didn't come easily for Lilly. It was a process fraught with pain and uncertainty, a journey of letting go of the love she had once held so dear. But with each passing day, she felt herself growing stronger, more determined to break free from the chains that bound her. She had closed the door on James, on the toxic relationship that had held her back for far too long. And in doing so, she had opened herself up to a future filled with possibility and self-discovery. Chapter 4: Empowerment Empowerment was a foreign concept to Lilly at first, a distant dream she never thought she could attain. But as she began to reclaim her power, to stand up for herself in ways she never thought possible, she realized that she was stronger than she had ever imagined. She surrounded herself with friends who uplifted her, who reminded her of her worth even when she struggled to see it herself. And as she looked ahead, she knew that no man, especially not James, could ever again demand her body, her spirit, her love. Chapter 5: Liberation In the end, Lilly found liberation in the most unexpected of places: within herself. She let go of the anger and the pain, embracing the journey of self-discovery with open arms. She was no longer defined by her past, by the mistakes she had made or the love she had lost. So as the final notes of the song faded away, Lilly smiled through her tears, knowing that she had finally found her way back to herself. James may have broken her heart, but he could never break her spirit. She was Lilly-strong, resilient, and ready to take on the world. And no man could ever demand her again. By the way this is about my past relationship

I want to say, thank you for making and sharing this song with so many people. When I first discovered this song I was obsessed, but in a very good and powerfull way. I thought of the lyrics everyday and it made me realise that An event of my past was more serious then I thought (no r***, but touched inappropriately). That was the moment when I took some time to deeply think about my past and I let all the emotions and memories of that experience flow. Thanks to you I got to finally exept that that was a crappy moment and I accepted the fact that I get to feel bad about it, because it was out of my control. I will forever and always think of this song when I think of that experience and I am very greatfull that you made this amazing song to educate Everyone arround you about this serious topic. I stand with everyone who has been through a similair and worse experience then me and know that you are not alone, nor do you have to feel any shame for what happened to you. Don't be so hard on yourself, because it was not your fault.

okay…. Honestly, “I’ve Had Enough” could totally be in Hamilton after Alexander cheated on Eliza. I definitely think that “Unavoidable” could be in SIX. I totally can picture any of the queens singing this, especially Katherine Howard bc she had all the ex’d before Henry, and she died because she fell in love with Henry. Then, Henry was away for a long time and I think that’s where the “unavailable” part of the song comes in, because Henry was never around.

I got SA’ed by a boy at my school and I told the counselors, and we ended up getting a no contact order, but he keeps contacting me and saying that I overreacted and saying that I should tell him the truth, and that he didn’t mean to do it, but he keeps doing it to other girls and I’m the only one who’s spoken up and recently I’ve just gone silent about it and deal with it and now it’s about to be the end of the school year and I just want to scream in his face to leave me alone or I’m getting a restraining order

This song is so amazing and for some reason sounds like it belongs in a musical.

1:21 as a clarinet player, that is amazing. I admire that. (the clarinet in the background)

I’m a clarinet player too and thus would honestly be an amazing song to learn to play! Clarinet is the best instrument (my opinion) I appreciate it too. I also used to play piano too and that piano is amazing. 😅❤😊
