Love the vintage shopping in Japan! Interesting to see the prices. I did find when we went a pre COVID that the preloved stores in Shinjuku were much cheaper than the stores in Ginza. You did see more Hermes and some of the extremely rare and expensive items in Ginza but the prices were definitely higher overall even for more common items. We found some great bargains in Shinjuku and surrounds.

Many vintage bags seemed quite overpriced. Personally, I'd rather buy it straight from the boutique if the cost is similar or more than the cost of a new one. While some vintage bags may be gold plated (ie Chanel ), for me, it doesn't make sense to spend so much on a pre-loved bag. They're all in great condition though. Thanks for taking the time to show us everything and happy anniversary! 😊

I found the stores in Ginza much much more expensive than the stores in Shinjuku. Granted it’s been awhile since I was there but we definitely noticed the difference. We bought all our preloved in Shinjuku and surrounds.

thank you for taking us on your trip and also showing prices for the preloved items. Other KZbinrs make it seem like it’s a haven for cheap (inexpensive) pre loved items. I guess there is a price to pay to be able to buy items that you can be assured that they are authentic.

Yes unfortunately the preloved stores have brought the prices up ever since the yen dropped and all the tourists flocked in for shopping, Japan no longer a good place to hunt for massive discounted pieces, but occasionally you do find some gems laying around!
