I also love your positive energy. Everlane is a brand I’ve been looking at for a while and I have a lot more on my wishlist. 💕 I have a pair of Goldsign high waisted wide leg jeans. I love the 70’s/90’s vibe. I’m 50 so crop tops are not for me, but I loved your styling ideas. The Aritzia Babaton stretch tops would work well though. The bone pair are really nice. I’m 5’10” so I’m not sure if the length would look odd on me. 😊

I purchased a pair of distressed wide legged jeans and I usually wear them with a white cropped T-shirt, or a low cut T-shirt and a beige linen blazer and cognac brown slide on sandals and a basket weave hand bag.

Love your style! Really looking for help on styling relaxed and wide Jean's with flat shoes and no crop tops. As I get older I cant pull off heals for long anymore, and crop tops are more for those in their 20s I find. Any videos to help in this area would be amazing! ❤

If you’re looking for height, wedges and platforms look great with wide legs and they’re comfortable

Try a short "block heel" like one that is 1 and 1/4 inch in height or you could do a pointy toe flat with arch support. The pointy toe flat will elongates your foot's silhouette under the jean for a lengthening effect. You may need to get your jeans tailored if they are too long or you could cut the excess off if you want a cool distressed edge on the bottom hem. And don't wear a crop top if you don't want to! You can do a front tuck with your top or tuck the shirt in all the way

I've seen videos of people in their 30s and 40s wearing crop tops. They pair it with high waisted bottoms so a sliver of bare skin is showing (no belly button) and then a blazer or some jacket, very stylish

Yeah! This fabric seems to be a bit stretchier than their other pants so definitely a good idea to size down 🤦🏼‍♀️

I have so much trouble finding wide jeans that aren't too tight around the waist. Since it's most often 100 % cotton that goes with wide/mom jeans there isn't any stretch to it. And I haven't really got a completely flat belly. If I size up the overall fit of the jeans looks bulky. And IF I find a pair of jeans my size that isn't too tight around the waist then I will have to button up and pull down the zipper when I sit down. And my experience is that 100% cotton jeans don't stretch out with time.

Do they look good with your frame, make you look balanced etc? I got rid of wide leg jeans and boots cut jeans in my teens for skinny jeans only to realise at nearly 30 that as a broad shouldered long legged person, I don't need skinny jeans or its benefits (to make legs look slim and long) and actually straights and wides are my thing. Now that the skinny trend is ending, I'm not getting rid of my one good skinnies, because they still have a place and I've bought the best style of skinnies for my body. But it's taught me to not throw my clothes away because of trends but because of fit, because here we are nearly 15 years later and straights, wides and flares are in again.

I love and wear them all. You styled them correctly too. You just have to make sure they look current, no low rise please. Although I do have some that are from back in the day, I refuse to part with them but definitely don't wear them.😂

If you have a long torso or broad shoulders and you're trying to emphasize your waist low rise would look awful. It's also blurring the line between functional and not functional lol, gone are the days of seeing buttcracks!

Get slimmer fitting wide legs. For example hers are baggy from the hips and have a big leg opening. I've seen ones that are close to skin and start getting baggy at the lower thigh and not too big of a leg opening (not talking about bootcuts or flares here)

Gosh man! I’m turning 30 in November, I’m also a mom of two. I feel so young and I don’t know how to dress anymore. My closet is full of black skinny jeans and jeggings. They have to be cropped!! You need a bit of ankle showing otherwise they drown you and make you look short, regardless of how tall you are. If they were more fitted in the leg and a real 70's flare, or even a kick flare, this length would be fine.

I think the opposite! Wide leg jeans that are cropped make me look short and bulky. The ones hitting below the ankles make my legs seem elongated.

It's about body type, not trends. If you have long legs for your body proportions, cropped looks good and won't throw you off balance as they "shorten" visual length. If you have short legs and long torso, long length with high waist looks good.
