Can someone explain what the effective nuclear charge is? I understand how it works, but like what exactly is it and why is it important? Why does it increase when the atomic radius decreases?

Am I missing something, or did she plug in a different kb value than the one we just solved for when finding ka? When I plugged in the kb value we found to find ka, I got 5.6 x 10^-10 Anyone else get that?

Hey Vanessa, so yes Twitter is the only place to submit questions at this time. But it is easy to create an account, even if you just use it to ask questions. I've had several students create an account to just ask questions and as Christa said it's worth it. Yay free tutoring!
