nice video, good to know how washers are made. also at 5:57 you say about how fast and bent it is , not really ( in iron work: power hammers are sometimes indeed that speed, and the term they use for the "bent" nature of the metal and how it is created is called 'upsetting', just a point of information.

why don't you use your potter press to punch the disks?

Peter, sometimes I do use my press to punch the discs, but in this video, I wanted to show that you can do it with a hammer, as not everyone has a press. But anymore, I typically do use my press for that. Also, I was using relatively thin material and it was pretty easy to hit through and it is still faster to use a hammer.
