This song always brings me to tears, always. I don't know if it's the thought of innocence being hurt or the adorable and talented Heather O'Rourke being taken from this world at such a young age, or the thought of my nieces... Either way it's a hauntingly beautiful and moving song.

I still miss Heather O' Rourke :- ( I wonder if she were still with us today, would there had been more Poltergeist movies. She'd probably have a family and be a recognized writer, producer, and, or, director with a couple of great projects she helmed, under her belt, if she were here today.

It is sad that Heather died, but she will always be remembered as a sweet kid. We look at the sweet kids of other movies and many have sold themselves out for money and fame. Not so for Heather, she will always be remembered as that sweet girl who stole the hearts of countless millions.

Jerry Goldsmith was a Master. What makes this soundtrack so spectacular is the skill he exercised. Most of the key characters had their own themes, locations had their own themes (much like the soundtrack from the first film, you often heard them brought together with amazing cohesion, which led to an incredible effect, often as powerful as the story or special effects in the film, if not more). Carol Anne's theme was absolutely amazingly done, and in this film it was obviously more polished.

This scene is more emotional than the theme of the first Poltergeist.

With "Poltergeist" being a popular horror franchise of the 1980's, what better way to end the first two movies with a beautiful, yet soothing score. This is one of my favorite scores by the late Jerry Goldsmith. He was one of the most dominant composers of all time, and may his soul rest in peace. Other awesome scores by Jerry Goldsmith are Star Trek, Total Recall, Air Force One, and Mulan. -_^

I love both versions of Carol Anne's theme (1 and 2), but I actually like this version better. The voices singing the notes are more polished and a lot more ghostly (in the first version, it just sounds like a lot of little kids singing "la la la" a little bit out of key in spots, although the orchestral music is spot-on in both versions). Not a critique on the original by any means, just an observation. Jerry Goldsmith will always be my favorite composer, and these films are tremendous reason why.

Great song. When I listen to this song, I think about my lovely MJ and his Neverland Ranch Valley. His childlike character and his love for the world. I miss him so dearly. It's a great pity that the world lost a great, caring, loving man. You can never imagaine how generous Michael was to the children and the world.

They had shot parts of the originally intended ending, but it wasn't completed. After Heather died, what they had was not enough to finish it, so they scrapped it and completely rewrote, probably as best they could. That's why the ending is really just a big mess.
@Pugslee313 жыл бұрын
I do remember her saying something in the movie that she did not want to grow up, its ironic how that actually came true. I guess the spirits really wanted her to guide them into the light and they got what they wanted in the end!
