Hi Nick! The Digitakt is a beast. It has 8 midi tracks so more than enough for 3 synths. I even use 2 tracks per synth and put one track on 1:2 trig condition and the second on 2:2 so you can extend your sequence to 128 steps instead of 64. You can also use multiple midi tracks for one synth to get more LFOs. I have been using it for 1.5 years now and it still impresses me

@@kevinverkindt wow thanks for the tips! I produce similar melodic stuff entirely in logic but am looking to get away from the daw to sketch out ideas and was between the digitakt and something like the Roland mc707, but from what I’m seeing it’s gonna be hard not to pick up the elektron now!

Hey mate! Lovely tune! Quick questions, is everything produced on the hardware or do you produce on a Daw and then put it on the hardware? Also on your gear is their sidechain built-in ?

Hi Kolonel! Thanks for the feedback. Everything is produced on the hardware you see in the video. You can sidechain on the Digitakt but there are also other ways to create a ducking effect :)

I have the Digitone and Digitakt, and am currently on the fence on what to get between Minilogue xd and Subsequent 25/37. Your videos are making it hard to choose, hahaha

Hi Jared! I would never get rid of the 37 but the Minilogue XD has blown me away so far. I find it a lot easier to create my own sounds on the XD than the 37. I would not call this setup minimalistic but everything has a purpose. DT for drums, DN for pads, leads, arps, percussion, 37 mostly for bass or leads, XD for bass, distortion, leads. Everything is still connectable to the Elektrons without having to buy a midi thru box.
