For the past week I've been playing melodie only trying to get her mastery title and from my personal experience (mainly on showdown) the shield gadget is so useful. I would say the other one is better only brawlers that annihilate melodie on close range such as doug rt bull jacky and else, For anything else the shield gadget should allow you be so much more aggressive and guarantee you so many kills
