Melodyne: Next level vocal editing in Pro Tools

The ARA version constantly scanning for ARA updates and I would be working in a project and close out of the project and then go back and open it back up and there would be a prompt that said corrupted files, so I quit using the ARA and just went back to the plug-in

The visuals of Melodyne are not delay compensated when using via ARA in Pro Tools. Avid blames Celemony and Celemony blames Avid, but both agree that this is not correct behavior/a bug. Anyone got a solution for this?

And how to make it so that the playback cursor moves not with a double click, but with one click and not at the very top, but so that it moves from a click to any place? If there is no way to configure it, could you add such a possibility?

At the moment, you have to click once in the time ruler indeed. Alternatively, double-click in the background to start playback from there.

Hi Celemony people! I’m getting that “Saving ARA Data” notification very frequently, probably every time an Autosave happens. Any way we can prevent that message from constantly popping up?

Having same issue. Really annoying but makes sense when auto save is set to every minute.

Yes, it really seems to be related to auto save settings in Pro Tools. Perhaps you could ask Avid’s support team about this?

Sir! I have Essential 5, If I record voice with minus, then I lose minus music and cannot connect voice to minus after editing voice.. I''ll try again: 1.I open minus in Melodyne Essential 5 2.I record voice 3.Then I only have voice, minus music disappears 4.I can edit voice. 5.Now I need to find minus music and connect them back together, I don't know how to do that. Please explain step 5 or where in manual I can find instructions? Thanks.

The way you typically do this is to use Melodyne as a plug-in in a DAW (e.g. Pro Tools, Logic, Studio One, Cubase, ...). Your voice is recorded on its dedicated track and can be edited with Melodyne, while the backing music is on other tracks in your DAW.

@@celemony Thanks. I was using Audacity, can Melodine be attached as plugin to Audacity? Unfortunately I bought Essential 5 and it is useless so far. You mentioned 4 programs. Is there a full list of them, so I can choose cheapest one?. Do you know which one is cheapest? thanks for your time. I would consider upgrade for next step of Melodine, but I need to make sure I can use this one first.
