She only hired him to piss off Alison. Everything that she did for Billy was to piss off or hurt Alison. So in essence, he was always being used by Amanda. It was never really for the good of the company, for Amanda's will.

@@catnip2167 Did you forget the part where she threated his job if he refused to fire Allison instead of doing it personally after she took over D&D from Bruce? She is a perfect example of a typical greedy american VD who only care about being spotlight and treat everyone who stands up to her, competes or disagree with her as the big bad. She threats and blackmail everyones job if they didnt go along with her dirty personal schemes or question her leadership. She was more bad to her employers than Bruce ever was.
