These engines were used to supply power to the city of Melrose, MN. This is from a 2011 interview on the Local Show 'Around the Corner' with Shalon Wilber and plant operator Dale Lyon . The First Engine started was the engine from a submarine installed in the Melrose power plant in 1949. The second was installed 20 years later. it is one of two 4193 horsepower diesel Engines made by DeLaval Turbine Enterprise.
