This was very informative. I really liked look of these….especially after issues where our machine frequently wasn’t draining/spinning properly but showing no errors…caused by pod residue perhaps?? Subscribed using your 25% off code and received the first box the following day. Almost immediately they were tested after I got an oily turmeric stain on a favourite shirt while cooking without an apron. I did use a natural stain remover as well….but I was really impressed that the stain came out first wash. My old detergent wouldn’t have removed this. Brilliant!! Thanks Andy!

It's interesting, as in the UK detergants mainly varies between bio & non-bio formulas while in my country most detergents are by default conidered bio ones (I suppose non-bio ones are either cheaper brands or ones designated for baby's washes/sensitive skin). In my country detergants mainly varies between colour & universal formulas (the latter contains optical brighteners, hence designated more for whites).

Doctor Bechman also makes laundry stripes called Magic leaves. The concept is very similar to these melt laundry strips. Also you should give Smol pods a try.

Any chance of a video talking about water softener and the effects they have on washing machines and dishwasher? We have a softener and we haven’t used it in a long time. We’re hooking it back up to just the hot water (hot water tank only) in our house, and was curious if we should hook up dishwasher and washing machine to it as well for hot and cold.

There are a number of companies who make these. I love them. No plastic jug and the brand I use is bio and works better than tide.

Glad I saw this today as I’m almost out of Persil liquid which isn’t that great, I’ve subscribed, all I need now is a softener that isn’t full of things I can’t pronounce. Will white vinegar destroy the machine hoses?

I have been curious about these. I'm not a fan of the pods. I have a old school maytag washer and I currently use an organic liquid detergent. I may have to see if they ship these to the US.

There are similar products produced in the US.

What do you think of the Eco Eggs? The egg shaped thing that you fill with two types of beads.
@Truth15612 жыл бұрын
I like them especially for towels and bedding . You do need to pre-treat stains- but then I do that with all detergent . My favourite detergent is nellies- you only need a tiny scoop of powder, but over the course of covid it became very expensive and hard to get .

I've been using eco nuts.I think they may be similar.Great if you have allergies as no overpowering purfumes.The nuts unusual vegetal smell but laundry just smells of clean fresh air once dried.I do use a prewash spray too but no need for fabric softener either as it naturally softens.Works out alot cheaper than reg laundry detergent.All round winner as far as I'm concerned.And no I don't work for company.

I have tried them and they are ok for lightly soiled items but for soiled items like clothes worn by teenagers I would recommend these Melt washing strips.

Don't people in the UK use gel detergents? Both these strips and the "pod" like things must be easily outmatched by gel detergents when it comes to dissolution and cleaning, no? We have pods for dishwashers but not for washing machines here, I saw them for the first time on your video!

I’ve never used the pods- sometimes use liquid ( Halo for all the kids gym gear, it’s brilliant ). I just find powder more effective and economical - 120 large washes for £7.49 ( lasts me a lot longer as I do a lot of quick small loads). My issue with these and other ‘eco’ detergents I’ve tried smol and splosh) is that they cost a lot more, I’m on a pension and support two disabled adult children, so I find the cost prohibitive.

I agree. I've found that powder is the cheapest detergent, then gel & most exepensive are pods (by ratio of approx. 3:5:10). Suprisingly enough, the same applies to quality of cleanliness. I don't know how to rate stripes though
