Your voice is very calming. Very clear instructions emphasising those vital details. The ring is great, I will definitely try this technique. Thanks again.

Fantastic video as always Soham. Your videos started me out on my jewellery making journey and I subscribed to Peter Keep's excellent training program over a year ago now. Please keep the videos coming.

I accidentally made this in yellow gold a while back, due to soldering inexperience. But I really like it. I put a hammered finish on it and it looks pretty cool

Fascinating! Not only does the melted edge get all irregular, the texture of the surface becomes bubbly or "blistered", like certain types of pastry! What an interesting look!

Yeah that's reticulation and makes fabulous pendants

Apparently, though, it wears off after a while; is there a way to prevent that?

I have tried this before but tried to reticulate the whole ring rather than just the edges and ended up desoldering the solder seam. Now I am a little more knowledgeable I would try Rio No Flow and paint the join and hope it didn't desolder.

I love your video's.. all of them! I have learned so many things from you. I alwats have many questions because I dont follow any lessons. Difficult to find sinds I live in France. How come that your joint is not melting while your edges of the ring do melt? I use always 925 or 950 silver and I have a propane gas burner.

the oxy propane little torch allows the hot flame to only melt where it is focused. the propane air torch heats the whole thing so it melts the whole thing.
