Superb locations and very informative. Sounds like you have to go with the flow with the weather conditions. The random landslide story made me smile.

Cheers Chris. You'll absolutely love it when you eventually visit. As for the landslide/avalanche, thank heavens that I wasn't on the wrong side of it or I would have been stranded there for 24 hours, lol.

Hey Colin. It was great to meet you too, however briefly. I hope you had a wonderful time in Lofoten. It's one hell of a place isn't it? Have a great 2020 and I hope that you have many more trips planned. Until next time, continued happy discovering :-)

Hey Darren. Many thanks for saying from someone who films a lot of videos. I'll do a couple more when in New Zealand and Australia. I'm jetting off on Wednesday for a month so plenty of opportunity to film me photographing some amazing locations. The scenery is spectacular.

Thank you Kevin. I'm so pleased you enjoyed them. I aim to film a few more this year now that I have a decent editor putting them together. I love the filming on location bit but am less enthusiastic about editing them at home, ha, ha.

Thanks Baas. Yes the camera has a flip out screen which sits to the side of the camera. As a result, I tend to look at the screen rather than the lens as I can see where I am placing myself within the frame. This has me look slightly to off centre. Annoying I know, lol.

After your video and a couple other reviews I bought the Benro TMA48CXL I have an amazing leveler on it and I bought some long spikes but I have not fitted them yet. I see you have yours on in this video. Do you have them on all the time and if so how do you get on with the sand and sea
@melvinnicholsonphotographycom5 жыл бұрын
Hi Paul. Ah, the Benro TMA48CXL is a beauty isn't it? In answer to your question, I leave my 4.7" spikes on all the time and if I am shooting on a very soft beach, I pop a blank compact disc under each leg to prevent them from sinking in. The discs are cheap, flat and easy to transport and of course the spike locates straight through the hole in the middle. There you go, another tip for you, lol.
@paulcomptonpdphotography5 жыл бұрын
That’s great to know. Can you let me know where you get your spikes from I have some I think 3” but these were eBay jobs not sure about them
@melvinnicholsonphotographycom5 жыл бұрын
Hi Paul. I bought mine from ebay. Order three for a set of three despite what the sales info suggests. www.ebay.co.uk/itm/332584614864?ul_noapp=true Or if you're in a hurry or prefer higher quality. 3 Legged Thing sell some too. www.fotosense.co.uk/3-legged-thing-stilettoz-spikes-set-of-3.html?gclid=Cj0KCQjw5J_mBRDVARIsAGqGLZA8KqkjT23Crpa0B8gQLPTw_AlucxQJM93999NytmcFjwZt_ijfGzgaApJ2EALw_wcB#fo_c=77&fo_k=b0a85550a72f200b47962481c04341ff&fo_s=gplauk
