Almost correct about tornadoes rotation. They spin cyclonically, which in the Northern Hemisphere is counter-clockwise and clockwise in the Southern Hemisphere. This is bc earths rotation and the coriolis effect. But as you said, there’s a small percentage that rotate anti-cyclonically, meaning the opposite direction of what they’re “supposed” to.

The toilet thing actually isn’t true and is based off of direction the water is pushed out. What he said about tornadoes is correct with a segment going opposite to their “preferred direction” in their respective hemispheres.

Toilets are too small to be affected by the Coriolis effect. They swirl based on how the water enters the bowl, and some flush in a way that doesn't swirl at all. The same is true of sinks, the water in a sink swirls based on how it's moving when the plug is pulled. It's even possible for a sink to drain without swirling if the plug is pulled in the right way.

The tornado thing is true, but only in the Northern Hemisphere. The opposite rotations are true in the Southern Hemisphere. Both of these are caused by the Coreolis Effect which is a result of Earth’s rotation at the equator being different from at the poles.

While we’re on the topic of Detroit: Become Human, I wanna bring up some things I find weird: Surveillance, Modern-Day Psychopaths, and TOS. How the hell did CyberLife manage to convince everyone enough that their Androids are not walking Cameras / Recording Devices? You can find one of those Electronic Magazines with an Article titled “Is your Android spying on you?” Why is everyone a psychopath? Supposedly the Androids look exactly like Humans but with a little ring on their temple, if so why is everyone seemingly comfortable with abusing and demeaning them? You’d think that the majority of people would see themselves in Androids but I guess not. And let’s not even bring up the concept of Owners abusing Androids with differing Skin Colors and how quickly that’d get you viral. Why are people ALLOWED to abuse their Androids? Hank and Connor investigate a man stabbed to death by his Android, they discover that he had been abusing the Android, giving conflicting orders so he can beat it, putting cigarettes out on it’s arm, then one day start attacking it with a bat, thus the retaliation. How the hell is that not a TOS Violation resulting in revoking access to any / all Android Participation? To allow Abuse upon Human-like Androids would feed Psychotic Behavior that could be done upon a real people should the owner get bored. (Also yeah, Child Androids is an insane idea.) Interesting game, great soundtrack, but it’s got a lotta “It needs to be this way for the Story.” stuff.
