Perhaps one of the best live performances I've seen in my life, it is just incredible, much better than the album version, and the latter is one of my favourite songs ever. Her control of tension is surreal, how is that even possible to create something so magical.

Come on now, the album version is pretty freaking good too. Mumford and Sons brought this to a new level.

Nicely done Laura Marling. Born Feb 1990 puts you 24 years being on the planet. I look forward to observing how the path unfolds for you.

I've always imagined this song being sang by (or for) Anne Boleyn.. The lyrics just suit her so much..

To me this song is about futility of living and antinatalism. We tell ourselves stories to justify our existence, take on values and narratives coined by other people before us. We yearn for success and fear death in hope that our life was something more than just collusion of desire and ignorance. But can't quit our ways. Instead we take up arms and battle this Earth, to destroy it and assume the role of saviors.

I guess I should be more in depth. when it comes to women I will hold Laura's wisedom at her age among the majority of other women's wisedom. next time I meet somebody like her Ill think different

Next time you should just switch woman with human and everything's gonna be alright and truer :)
